Effective July 1, the Adel City Council named Anthony Brown as interim city administrator.
Brown, 27, is an Omaha, Neb. native and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science before completing a Master’s Degree in Public Administration at the University of Nebraska–Omaha in 2012.
During high school and college Brown worked six years at Eileen’s Colossal Cookies in Omaha.

Brown’s duties as interim city administrator include updating the city website, social media, creating the Adel Newsletter while researching policies and projects as well as working with local committees, boards and councils.
Brown was an intern for one year under former city administrator Brett Klein, who reached a mutual decision with the City of Adel to leave the position one month ago.
Tuesday evening, the Cascade City Council named Klein interim city administrator during a special meeting.
Cascade is located just outside of Dubuque in northeastern Iowa.
