Lisa Button, senior accountancy and finance major from Adel, Iowa, has been awarded a fellowship from Sigma Beta Delta. Sigma Beta Delta is the international honor society for business, management and administration. Though all members of Sigma Beta Delta were eligible for a fellowship, each chapter was encouraged to nominate only one student. Within the international organization, only 11 students were selected. The fellowship is accompanied with a $2500 prize to be used for the senior year of business study or graduate school.
Lisa was selected by C-SC business faculty for nomination of this fellowship due to her work ethic, her intellect and her ability to work with others. “Lisa is incredibly bright and able to grasp difficult concepts with ease,” said professor of accounting and nominating faculty-member, Dr. Dell Ann Janney. “She does not hesitate to take on huge tasks and finds great satisfaction in what seems like to most as insurmountable challenges.”
Button is also the co-president of the Quincy, Ill., chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), as well as president of the Culver-Stockton chapter of IMA.
