Severe storms hit Central Iowa Sunday and Monday night producing heavy winds, rain, moderate hail and tornado warnings.
Some residents in Dallas County experienced moderate to heavy damage during the event including hail damage to cars and siding on homes.
Others like a home on 15th and Main Street in Adel had a tree fall onto their home after tornado-like winds ripped through the town.
In Polk City and Ankeny, residents were urged to take cover for possible tornadic rotation; however, no tornado touched down.
Cleanup crews were hard at work both Monday and Tuesday morning assessing the damage and cleaning the road of debris.
