Collide Christian Music Fest at Point of Grace Church in Waukee

Collide Christian Music Fest will be back for a second year offering an amazing lineup of Christian bands while raising money for missions this summer, July 12 and 13 at Point of Grace Church in Waukee. For only $10 online or at the door, families can enjoy two days of wholesome entertainment from the nation’s top Christian acts, including: Foreverlin, Children 18:3, Shine Bright Baby, Lastwatch, Playdough, Nine Lashes, Tru Serva, Project 86, AngeLight, The Protest, As We Are, Righteous Vendetta, EchO, Spoken, Fight the Fade, This City Awaits, Jason Dunn, Satellites and Sirens, Jonathin Thulin.

More than 400 people attended Collide last year and expectations are growing for this year’s event. Among other vendors, Three Blind Pigs BBQ and Crazy 4 Nuts will be on hand feeding concert goers. All are welcome to attend the festival at Point of Grace, which promotes a “come and be who you are” Christian environment.

Pediatric Heartsaver CPR/First Aid Class at DCH

Dallas County Hospital will be offering a Pediatric Heartsaver CPR/First Aid class on Saturday, July 19 from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Dallas County Hospital Community Room. This class is intended for new or expectant parents, daycare workers, or anyone that takes care of children. At the end of this class, participants will be able to perform CPR and rescue breathing, remove a foreign body from a child and demonstrate the use of automated external defibrillator.
