Georgina will have iced tea every Tuesday in June from 9 a.m. to noon. Crocheting and knitting are strongly encouraged on Tuesday mornings!

Each Wednesday, we have Story Times for ages 0 -4 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., and for ages 4 and older at 2:45 p.m.. In June, each week’s theme is related to our Summer Reading Program, “Dig Into Reading”. The themes include Volcanoes, the Center of the Earth, the Earth’s Mantle, and Earth Quakes. The Board of the Granger Public Library meets Saturday morning, June 8 at 8 a.m. in the Library. The public may attend. Family Movie Night is on Friday, June 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library. Wear your comfortable clothes, bring the family and enjoy a family-oriented movie!

The Adult Book Club meets on Monday, June 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library. The book they’ll discuss is “A Single Thread”, by Marie Bostwick. You are always welcome to join the group for discussion even if you’ve not read the book.

Youth Club will meet Friday, June 21 at 6 p.m. in the Library. Its spooky story night – please let the Library know if you’re going to attend!! Bunco is Back! Friday, June 28 at 6:30 p.m.in the Library, we’ll again have adults only Bunco Night! Please let us know if you will attend, and what you’d like to bring for a snack or appetizer! The Library is now part of the city-wide website. Check out GrangerIowa.org. You can view Library information, view the Library’s collection, and access the Wilbor website! Our director, Anna Randleman, got married in May! Her last name is now Shilling. Congratulations to Anna and Daniel and families!

·Adult Fiction: Nancy, by Fort; The Forgotten by Baldacci; and Paris by Rutherford.

New DVD’s include: Flight, Skyfall, and new Strawberry Shortcakes for the younger ones.

If you were not able to attend our Summer Reading Program kickoff, we have plenty of packets here in the Library for pick-up. We also have the reading contracts needed to enter the program. This is such a great program for encouraging kids to continue to read through the summer! With spring comes spring housecleaning! If you find you have overdue books or DVDs, please return them to the Library! We’re grateful to have them back so others can check them out. Please feel free to use the outdoor drop box to make it as easy as possible for you!
