Peterson Contractors, Inc. has started the process of removing the existing pavement on White Pole Road near Dexter.
Removal began Tuesday morning at the south end of the project, in Dexter. Residents will notice crews removing, hauling, and crushing the existing pavement in the Dexter for the next few days. Below are a few important updates.
Pavement has been broken from White Pole Road north about one mile, or through the addresses of 35057, 35059, and 35138 Dexfield Rd.
Pavement has been removed from White Pole Road north to the Dexter city limits, or about 1/4 mile
Residents are advised that the road will be impassable within the Dexter city limits for the next few days. Residents should also avoid driving on broken concrete areas whenever possible. The process of breaking will cause some large pieces of concrete to “tip” upwards. If travel on broken sections is necessary, travel slowly so that you allow time to react to larger broken pieces.
All residents can avoid construction activities by traveling north on P48, towards F59 and Redfield. We anticipate that rock will be placed within Dexter city limits around Thursday.
Utility work and construction survey operations are still taking place in other areas along the project route. Please be cautious when driving around them.
