DuPont Pioneer recently donated $5,000 toward repairs and upgrades to the community building at the Dallas County Fairgrounds, providing handicap accessibility and extended use of the building during winter months. “We are grateful to DuPont Pioneer for supporting our fairgrounds and year-round programming,” said David Felt, Dallas County Fair Association board member. “This upgrade will allow us to more safely and effectively use the building throughout the year, and provide handicap accessibility.”
The community building is used for 4-H activities during the Dallas County Fair, as well as annual Extension and soil and water quality meetings. As the philanthropic arm of DuPont Pioneer, the DuPont Pioneer Giving Program makes contributions to community-based organizations on behalf of the business and employees. Consideration for Community Outreach grants are given to communities where Pioneer sales representatives, employees and customers live and work and that support quality-of-life initiatives to create an improved, sustainable lifestyle for people worldwide.
