With a week filled with polar vortexes, record cold temperatures and closed schools, it’s fitting that the Granger Public Library will have a special ‘frozen’ story time for children Saturday, Jan. 11 at 11 a.m.

Enter Princess Anna of Arendelle, star of the 2013 Disney hit movie “Frozen.” She is, according to her Disney biography, “the fearless, spunky, and innocently-awkward younger sister of the powerful Snow Queen Elsa who embarks on a perilous journey to save her kingdom from an eternal winter.”

Anna’s visit will have an educational twist, says Storybook Adventure business owner Lauren Gardner. Anna will be reading “The Snow Queen,” a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. She’ll also lead a craft project.

“We’re really excited about doing Anna’s visit as one of our story times,“ says Anna Shilling, Granger Public Library director. “It’s part of our continuing focus on developing an early love for reading.”

For more information on the Granger event call the Granger Public Library at 999-2088. No reservation is required. Lauren Gardner’s website is www.storybookadventures.net.
