How about those Bull DAWGS!!!Our boys are conference champs! Our girls had a good softball season too! I also believe almost all the kids coming into the library are a part of baseball or softball.
It makes sense being the hometown of Bob Feller. I love seeing the kids outside so much. This weekend is also Riverphest here along the river. There is a Volleyball tournament tonight at our new Legends Fieldhouse Bar and Grill. I have also had people in the library going to the Dallas County Fair or preparing to go next week to the Madison county Fair. I read in the paper the Madison County Fair has free admission this year. That is awesome. I say all this to say there is a lot to do in Iowa and outside. This coming week we have:
Wednesday - Science Experiments 10 am
Thursday - Regular book club - We will be discussing “James Joyce-The Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man”. Then we will be handing out - The Wars of the Roses.
Friday - special treats
I also want to Thank The Science Center of Iowa for their program at our library last Friday July 11th. Thank you to Amanda Durflinger for wonderful cupcakes and fresh fruit. Here are new books in our library:
