Hello! We have books on biking. We have books on gardening and magazines. A new one that is donated is “Countryside” and even though I can’t raise chickens in Van Meter (yet) I love to read all the ideas in this. What are some of your favorite magazines? A lot of them are online now. Do you prefer paper or computer? Also this week we had kids in playing with the LEGOs. Then we had a citizen donate the Lego magazines. Well this next week our schedule is as follows: Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. at the library come learn and share knitting with Shannon. Please bring your projects of any kind and join in the fun. The following week is Spring Break at Van Meter. We are planning a pizza, popcorn, movie time on March 21 at the Veteran’s Reception Center at 12:30 p.m. We will be showing the movie “Gnomeo and Juliet.” The food and drinks are provided, we just ask that you let us know if you are planning on coming so we have plenty of pizza. Our number at the library is 996-2435. Also bring your pillow or sleeping bag to relax on while you watch the movie. We also like to let parent’s and businesses know that if you would like to pay for one of the pizzas let us know that too. This is for elementary age kids up through 7th grade. If you are older and would like to help give us a call. Thank you to the library trustees for agreeing to the cost of this event. This week is “Teen Tech Week” and we are going to do nontech things. We have teens that are very tech smart but how about in nontech things? Check in with Jolena and take the challenge! It will be fun as well as a learning time with prizes at the end.

We have had some donations that are like new. We are putting these in or library for Young adults and kids. “A Company of Swans” by Eva Ibbotson;
