Vehicles driven by Mark Burkhart of 33993 Mill Creek Circle, Adel, and Henry Reinders of 1090 1st Place, Waukee were traveling northbound on Dartmoor Drive and stopped at a stop sign at Hickman Road. Burkhart pulled forward and stopped for traffic and Reinders pulled forward and did not stop, striking Burkhart’s vehicle. Vehicle damage estimated at $900. Reinders was cited for failure to stop in assured clear distance and violation of conditions of restricted license.
Andrew Hanshaw, 39, of 4200 Grand Avenue, Des Moines was arrested at the intersection of Hickman Road and SE Waco Place and charged with OWI-1st offense. It should be noted that all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

A vehicle driven by Judy Bentley of 165 SE Westgate Drive, Waukee was traveling westbound on Hickman Road when a vehicle driven by Lisa Lane of 317 S. 19th Street, West Des Moines was traveling eastbound on Hickman Road and making a left turn onto NE Carefree Lane and struck Bentley’s vehicle. Vehicle damage estimated at $20,000. Lane was cited for failure to yield upon left turn.
Carol McAdam, 66 of 55 SE Windfield Parkway, Waukee was arrested in the 50 block of SE Windfield Parkway on a Dallas County warrant for harassment-1st degree. It should be noted that all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
A vehicle driven by Higino Marquez-Galvez of 16790 Tieton Drive, Yakima, Wash. was traveling southbound in a parking lot in the 16100 block of SE Laurel Street when a vehicle driven by Sarah Wemer of 250 Linden Drive, Waukee backed out of a parking space and struck Marquez-Galvez’s vehicle. Vehicle damage estimated at $2,000.
