Katie Warford and Jeff Potts were married on July 27, 2013 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Adel, Iowa, with Rev. Wayne Gubbels officiating. A reception followed at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines.

Katie is the daughter of George and Mo Warford of Adel. Jeff is the son of Ken and Karen Potts of Chanhassen, Minnesota. The bride’s grandmother, Barbara Mehigan, of Mequon, WI, was an honorary guest at the wedding.

Kelli (Warford) Bostwick, the bride’s older sister, was the Matron of Honor. Collin King, the groom’s older brother, was the Best Man. Both siblings delivered beautiful speeches at the reception in honor of the couple.

Bridesmaids included: Natalie (Clark) Krause, the bride’s childhood friend; Maria Pagano, cousin of the bride; Jadi (Nizzi) Pagano, “cousin-in-law” of the bride; Sarah Hansen, the bride’s childhood friend; and Colleen Fillingim, sister of the groom. Katie’s personal attendants were Shandi Moore, college roommate and friend of the bride; and Maggie O’Brien, cousin of the bride. Geordynn Bostwick, the bride’s three-year-old niece, was the flower girl.

Groomsmen were: Paul Graven, friend of the groom; Matthew Quammen, friend of the groom; Frankie Pagano, cousin of the bride; Jackson Chalgren, friend of the groom; and Chad Bostwick, brother-in-law of the bride. Ushers included Marcus Rippentrop, college roommate and friend of the groom, and Jordan Rasmussen, friend of the groom. Brady Morgan, the bride’s seven-year-old cousin, was the ring bearer.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, in the church she attended while growing up in Adel. After the ceremony, the couple held a receiving line to greet guests, before exiting the chapel with a lavender toss. The wedding party enjoyed a party trolley ride to the reception.

Guests enjoyed the sunny and 75-degree weather on the croquet lawn for cocktail hour at Glen Oaks. Dinner and dessert were served in the reception room, before toasts and entertainment. Dancing followed at sunset on the veranda, and the party continued until midnight.

After the wedding, the newlyweds enjoyed a week by the Caribbean waters in Great Exuma, Bahamas.

The couple met at their alma mater in Iowa City, where they both graduated from the University of Iowa.

They currently live in Minneapolis with their puppy Lola.
