Carl E. Raber

Carl E. Raber, 65, of Glenwood, Iowa, was born October 12, 1947 to Earl and Thelma Raber in Des Moines, IA. Carl was at home when he left this life on June 30, 2013, after battling lung cancer for two years, three months.

Carl lived around the Waukee and West Des Moines area for many years. Carl served his country in the Army.

He was in the Vietnam War from 1968 - 1970. He was a proud member of the 3rd/5th US Cavalry Vietnam Black Knights Association.

On July 15, 1978, Carl married Rebecca Crawford-Keltner. He moved his family to Glenwood, IA in August of 1982 after accepting a transfer from MidAmerican Energy. Carl worked for MidAmerican Energy for close to 30 years. Most of those years he worked at The Walter Scott Energy Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, both sets of Grandparents, and his Father-In-Law. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Rebecca Raber, Glenwood, IA; daughter Deanna (J.E.) Trevillyan, West Des Moines, IA; sons Michael (Amy) Keltner, LaVista, NE, and Chad M. Keltner, Atlanta, GA; brother Larry (Deb) Raber, Grimes, IA; Grandchildren T.J. (Nicole) Trevillyan, West Des Moines, IA, Kasey (Corbin) Foster, Washougal, WA, Danielle Keltner and Chloe Keltner, both Malvern, IA; Great-Grandchildren Ben, Josiah, Noah, Ivy, and Elouise; Mother-In-Law Donna Crawford, Earlham, IA; and a host of many caring family and friends.
