Judy was born on September 4, 1944 in Bushnell, Illinois. She later moved to Iowa and worked for John Deere in Ankeny and retired from there after a 30 year career. It was during her time with John Deere that she met her husband, Jack Prunty. The two were married on January 8, 1994 at the Highland Park Methodist Church in Des Moines. The couple made their home in Van Meter and 10 years ago moved to a farm near Lorimor in Madison County, Iowa. Judy was not one to join groups but enjoyed knitting and doing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed making things and her grandchildren recall that she was very crafty. She was a skilled archer and even competed in archery contests. After her marriage to Jack, Judy found a love of horses and she and Jack went on many trail rides. All this said she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved nothing more than time spent with her family. Judy is survived by her husband, Jack Prunty of Lorimor; three sons, Robert Driver of Des Moines, Lonnie (Amy) Ripple of White Sulfur Springs, MT, and Chad (Jenny) Ripple of Des Moines; a brother, Bob (Arlene) Turnbaugh of Pennsylvania; six step-children, R.
