Nola E. Lamb, 82, of Redfield, Iowa passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at Adel Acres in Adel. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Johnson Family Funeral Home in Dexter. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 28 at the Funeral Home in Dexter. Burial will be in the South Oak Grove Cemetery in Stuart. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nola Lamb Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of Johnson Family Funeral Home, 814 Washington Street, Dexter, Iowa 50070. Nola was born February 2, 1931 in at the family home along Panther Creek to Harold and Cleda Macklin Merical. She grew up in Redfield and graduated from Redfield High School with the class of 1948. In recent years Nola was a homemaker but she was better known for working at the Dexfield Schools for over 30 years before retiring. Nola also owned and operated the North Side Café for 4 years in Redfield. She was united in marriage to Teddy S. Lamb Sr on December 26, 1956 in Omaha, Nebraska. After their marriage they made their home in Redfield and continued living there until she moved to Adel Acres. Nola was a longtime member of the Redfield Christian Church and helped out with many of their activities throughout the years. She also served as a Den mother when her boys were in Cub Scouts and she and Teddy volunteered to work at the local skating rink for many years in Redfield. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Teddy, parents Harold and Cleda and two siblings, Dale and Jane Merical.

Nola leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Craig (Elva) Findley, of Silver City, New Mexico, Tom Findley of Des Moines, Randall (Michelle) Lamb of Des Moines, Teddy Lamb Jr of Stuart, and Jack (Judy) Lamb of Redfield; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends all of whom will miss her greatly.
