Balanced attack lifts Waukee past Fort Dodge

Waukee had four players with seven or more kills in a 3-1 victory at Fort Dodge on Tuesday.

Schylir Rowen finished with nine kills in the Warriors’ 25-20, 15-25, 26-24, 25-12 win. Denise Ssozi added eight kills to go with 17 digs and six service aces. Peyton Evers had eight kills and Caroline Slaughter hit .636 to finish with seven.

Morgan Potts posted a team-high 21 digs. Danika Mikesh finished with 17, and had two aces on 16-of-17 serving.

Waukee travels Saturday to Southeast Polk’s tournament, where the Warriors will face Ankeny Centennial, Des Moines Roosevelt and Cedar Rapids Jefferson.
