Van Meter improved to 4-0 on the season with a 17-1 thrashing of Woodward Academy on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs have scored 13 runs or more in each of their games this season, including a 14-4 win over Interstate 35 on May 24, a 14-1 win over West Central Valley on May 23 and a 13-0 season-openign win over Panorama on May 21.
Grant Waller, Ben Engstrand and Jake Eslick combined for four innings and eight strikeouts on Tuesday. Brandon Brittain had two doubles, three RBIs and scored twice and Jake Chevalier was 3-for-3. Flaherty scored three times while Eslick, Drake Doud and Ben Flaherty scored twice.
Seven players drove in runs against Inerstate 35, including Flaherty, who had two hits and three RBIs. Eslick walked twice and scored three times and Cody Blackwell picked up the win, allowing four runs on five hits while striking out five in the five-inning win.
Brittain homered, doubled and drove in three in the Bulldogs’ win at West Central Valley. Doud was 2-for-4 with four RBIs, Kurt Sankey drove in two and Flaherty was 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored.
Brittain struck out nine, allowing one run on one hit and a walk in the five-inning victory.
