A-D-M and Dallas Center-Grimes traveled Oct. 10 to Atlantic for the Trojan Invitational, the final tuneup befeore conference races on Monday.
The Fillies finished fifth in the 21-team girls’ field with 185, while A-D-M was 16th with a score of 390. Winterset (97), Harlan (134) and Lewis Central (144) were the top three finishers.
Madison Waymire of DC-G was second in 15:43, trailing only Rebekah Topham of Griswold. Brianna Mueller of A-D-M nabbed an eighth-place finish in 16:16.
Also running for DC-G were Kirsten Lundy (42nd, 17:47), Jessica Pugh (52nd, 17:58), Brooke Jacobsen (53rd, 18:00) and Jaymie Block (63rd, 18:09). Maci Masching (72nd) and Molly Claman (121st) rounded out the DC-G lineup.
Following Mueller for A-D-M were Danielle James (98th, 18:57), Hannah Taylor (105th, 19:04), Jenny Wicks (108th, 19:08) and Jessica Gard (114th, 19:16). Amareigh Rollings (145th) and Mackenzie Fuiller (151st) rounded out the lineup.
In the boys’ race, DC-G came away with a sixth-place finish with a score of 169. A-D-M was 12th with a 295. Council Bluffs Jefferson (84), Harlan (95) and Shenandoah (125) made up the top three.
DC-G was led by a 13th-place finish from Chad Connelly, who crossed the line in 17:07. He was followed by Nick Smith (31st, 17:24), Jared Brevard (37th, 17:31), Jacob Cline (44th, 17:43) and Austin Goode (48th, 17:47). Blake Schaben (29th) and Josh Paulson (61st) rounded out the lineup.
A-D-M got a fifth-place finish from Joshua Berger in 16:41. Trevor Danner was 67th in 18:17, Luke Huen was 69th in 18:20, Mark Sinnwell was 79th in 18:37 and Kyle Ferguson was 90th in 18:49. Brady Meier (115th) and Jackson VerWoert (116th) rounded out the lineup.
