The A-D-M girls’ basketball team has won three of its last four games, including two straight, after snapping a six-game skid last week.
The Tigers beat Carroll 71-16 on Tuesday and walloped West Central Valley 88-49 on Jan. 25. They dropped a 57-49 decision to Winterset on Jan. 24.
West Central Valley
In Saturday’s game against WCV in Stuart the Tigers had four players in double figures, including two off the bench.
Sophomore Brianna Mueller led the Tigers in scoring with 24 points on an 8-for-10 shooting performance and had eight rebounds, four assists and five steals against the Wildcats. Sophomore Molly Jacobsen had 18 points and six rebounds.
Freshman Sydney Bertman and junior Mackenzie Sutton each had 10 points off the bench. Bertman added five rebounds and fouled out.
Despite winning in blowout fashion, the Tigers had a season high 25 team fouls against the Wildcats. Mueller and senior Kendra Chapman had four fouls apiece.
After being down 11 to the Huskies at the half the Tigers outscored them 16-11 in the third quarter and found themselves down just six points but couldn’t finish the comeback in the fourth quarter in a 57-49 loss on Jan. 24.
Mueller had 16 points while Jacobsen made three three-point baskets en route to a 15 point performance in the game.
The Tigers were outrebounded by the Huskies 32-22, as Winterset avenged a 58-31 loss to A-D-M in December.
