A-D-M sees its season come to an end

The A-D-M boy’s basketball team saw its season come to a close in the first round of the district tournament. The Tigers lost to Harlan by a score of 83-63 in Harlan on Monday.

Harlan goes on to the finals on Thursday where they will play Perry, who beat Dennison-Schleswig 70-60 in Harlan just before A-D-M’s game.

The Tigers’ loss to Harlan is their second loss to them this season. Back on Jan. 11 the Tigers lost 73-44 to Harlan in Adel.

Logan Essy has led the team in scoring this year with 13 points per game on average while shooting 46 percent from the field. He also led the team in assists with 75, turnovers with 65 and had 20 steals on the season, which is just two behind the team leader, Joe Sloss.

Kyle Ferguson led the team in 3-pointers, making 35 on 83 attempts this season while scoring 7.6 points per game on average with a 40.7 field goal percentage.

Jacob Hardy led the team in rebounding, pulling down 132 rebounds this season while putting up 7.4 points per game on average while shooting 60.2 percent from the field.

Norwalk

The A-D-M boys’ basketball team lost its final game of the season before the district basketball tournament to Norwalk. The Tigers fell to the Warriors by a final score of 61-44 in Adel on Feb. 20.

The Tigers were led in the scoring column by Joe Sloss who had 13 points on a 3-of-8 shooting performance and going 2-of-4 from 3-point range. He also had three rebounds and two steals.

Kyle Ferguson went 3-of-6 from 3-point range and had 11 points in the contest. He added two rebounds and an assist to his stat line.

Logan Essy had seven points going 2-of-4 from the floor while recording team highs in rebounds and assists with four of each. He also had two steals, tied for a team-high.
