Dallas Center-Grimes put two runners in the top 10 to finish second in the A division of the Ballard Invitational on Monday.
The Fillies finished with 77 points behind only Pella, which won the 10-team race with a score of 37.
DC-G senior Madison Waymire was second overall with a time of 15 minutes, 41 seconds, 11 seconds behind Pella freshman Tess Roorda. Sydnee Hendricks was 10th in 16:18, Emma Bravard was 14th in 16:49 and Kirsten Lundy was 25th in 17:23.
Brooke Jacobsen (26th), Jaymie Block (28th) and Jessica Pugh (33rd) rounded out the Fillies lineup.
A-D-M placed sixth in the B division race, led by an eighth-place finish from sophomore Brianna Mueller, who crossed the line in 16:24. Erin Person was 15th in 17:06, Jenny Wicks was 41st in 19:07, Jessica Gard 43rd in 19:09 and Hannah Taylor 45th in 19:25. Erica Baier (58th) and Mackenzie Fuller (54th) rounded out the lineup.
A-D-M recorded a team score of 152. Gilbert (32), Humboldt (54) and Ballard (94) inhabited the top three.
The DC-G boys placed fifth in their A division race with a score of 138, behind Boone (41), Pella (44), Garner-Hayfield (114) and PErry (135). Colin Martin led the Mustangs with an 18th-place finish in 17:51. Chad Connelly was 20th in 17:59, Austin Goode 28th in 18:23 and Collin Quass 33rd in 18:33. Ross Miller was 39th in 18:41, followed by Jacob Moen (41st) and Jared Pugh (43rd).
A-D-M finished seventh in the B division. Joshua Berger was sixth overall in 17:44, while Scott Clabough was 22nd in 18:41, Kyle Ferguson was 30th in 19:12 and Trevor Harsh 35 in 19:23. Mark Sinnwell (40th), Connor Slater (41st) and Trevor Danner (56th) rounded out the A-D-M lineup.
