A-D-M senior outside hitter Torrie Hook was named an honorable mention this week to the Class 4A all-state team by the Iowa Girls’ Coaches Association.
Hook finished with 285 kills and a .309 efficiency for the Tigers, who reached the regional final for the second year in a row and finished the season 25-13. She also served at an 88.2 percent efficiency, with 24 aces, and was second on the team with 311 digs.
Woodward-Granger’s Abby Musser was a Class 2A third-team selection. Musser had 275 kills, 62 aces and 501 digs.
Hook was joined on the all-district list by teammate Maddie Powers and Dallas Center-Grimes’ Selena Nolte. Powers led the Tigers with 399 digs, and had a 93.7 percent serve success rate with 21 aces. Nolte led the Fillies with 242 kills.
Musser was joined by teammate Tori Manning on the Class 2A all-district team. Manning had 383 digs and a 95 percent serve success rate with 28 aces.
