Mustangs shake off first loss

Dallas Center-Grimes rebounded nicely from its first loss of the season with an 89-58 win over Perry on Tuesday in Grimes.

DC-G outscored the Bluejays 23-4 in the first quarter and never looked back. Austin Rix led the team with 17 points. Andrew Kramer and Doug Heritage each scored 14 points, and Nick Drucker added 12. Alex Jaspering scored eight and Chaz Chambers seven.

The Mustangs scored just four points in the first quarter and lost 65-49 at Southeast Polk on Dec. 7.

Kramer scored 17 points to lead DC-G. Drucker added 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists, and Heritage scored eight points while Chambers tacked on six.

DC-G also beat Pella Christian 69-43 onDec. 6. Drucker finished with 17 points and four assists, Kramer scored 16 points and Heritage hauled in 12 points and five steals.
