Tigers’ skid prolonged by Carlisle

The A-D-M girls’ basketball team dropped its fifth straight game with a 58-37 loss to Carlisle on Tuesday.

Molly Jacobsen hit a pair of 3s and finished with 10 points and five rebounds, and Brianna Mueller added seven points and three boards. But the Tigers shot just 20 percent from the field and 54 percent from the line. The Wildcats held the Tigers to single digits in each of the first two quarters and put the game out of reach with a 23-point third period.

The Tigers also suffered home losses to Harlan on Jan. 11 and Boone on Jan. 10.

A-D-M outscored by Harlan 20-6 in the first quarter en route to a 71-45 loss. Sydney Bertman had 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Tigers, while Kenzi Sutton added nine points and four rebounds. Haley Canney finished with seven points.

The Tigers shot 22 percent from the field in a 52-31 loss to Boone. Mueller had 12 points, six rebounds and three steals. Emily Hofmann added five points and five boards, and Madi Bertman finished with four points.

A-D-M travels Friday to Bondurant-Farrar before returning home on Jan. 21 to host Pella.
