It was a tight game and came all the way down to a shootout when the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn boys’ soccer team traveled to Perry for a Raccoon River Conference matchup. The Tigers (8-5-1) outscored the Bluejays (9-3) in the shootout 4-3 and won the game 2-1 and brought their conference record to 4-0 on the season.
Noah Bardwell, Connor Luther, Jonny Reel and Matthew Obbereuterer scored in the shootout for the Tigers and helped them to victory against the Bluejays. Jake Hutzell scored the only goal for the Tigers in regulation on a free kick after he was brought to the ground just outside the box.
A-D-M goalkeeper Darold Baker played 100 minutes and made seven saves while allowing one goal for a .875 save percentage.
The Tigers’ next game will be on Thursday at Bondurrant-Farrar, beginning at 7 p.m. On Friday, the Tigers will battle former conference opponent, Dallas Center-Grimes in Grimes. That game will begin at 7:30 p.m.
