Tigers fall to Creston

Logan Essy scored a game-high 26 points, but the A-D-M boys’ basketball team fell to Creston, 70-61, on Dec. 14 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

Essy shot 10-of-11 from the field and added two assists and two steals. Grant Goeden added nine points and four assists, and Jacob Hardy finished with eight points and five rebounds. Jake Sloss added five points off the bench.

A-D-M scored 28 of its points on Creston (4-0) in the fourth quarter.

The game came on the heels of a 70-48 loss to Carroll the night before in Adel. Goeden had 10 points, five rebounds and three steals. Hard added eight points and five rebounds, and Johnny Reel finished with eight points. Joe Sloss added six.

The Tigers’ final game of 2013 is Friday at home against Ballard. They resume play Jan. 3 with a trip north to Dallas Center-Grimes.
