Merschmann also led the team with 59 total blocks and

“We will have some experience back but we will need to transition to some new positions and find some players who will contribute all the way around,” A-D-M coach Mary Beth Scott said. “We look forward to working towards earning another conference championship.”

The Tigers have lost four seniors from a year ago going into this year.

Torrie Hook, Haley Schepers and Allison Gottschalk were seniors last year and were the top-3 players on the team in kills. Hook had 285, Schepers had 184 and Gottschalk had 171. Powers led the team with 399 (4.11 per set) digs during the 2013 campaign.

The Tigers start their season on Aug. 26 with a tournament in Newton. Their first action on their home court will be when they host the Tiger Invitational in Adel on Thursday, Sept. 4.
