Warriors keep winning streak alive with blowout of Ottumwa

After winning their first two matches 2-1 in shootouts, the last two matches for the Warriors have been with more breathing room on the scoreboard.

The No. 6 Waukee girls’ soccer team kept their unbeaten record alive with a 10-0 blowout win against Ottumwa on the road on Tuesday night.

The Warriors (4-0) will return to action, on the road once again, in Ankeny for a match against Ankeny Centennial on Thursday. The match begins at 7:30 p.m.

Ankeny Centennial is 3-1 on the season so far and lost for the first time of the season on Monday to Nevada.

Indianola

The Warriors kept their winning streak and defeated record alive in Inidanola as they won 4-0 on April 18.

Ellie Cavanaugh scored two goals in the match while Rebecca Corbett and Alyssa Hewitt each had one goal and one assist. Hannah McDevitt had two assists in the match.

Senior goalkeeper Miranda Hunzeker only had to make one save in the match as she preserved the shutout for the Warriors.
