Waukee is winners of four-straight with victory over Fort Dodge

The No. 15 Waukee boys’ soccer team has now won four-straight matches after their most recent win against Fort Dodge, a 2-0 victory for the Warriors on the road.

Senior goalkeeper Noah Jackson played 80 minutes and preserved the shutout for the Warriors. Junior Adam Bahnsen and senior Isaac Bruns had one goal apiece for the Warriors in the match.

Bruns also had an assist in the match, as did Ryan Sabotin, a junior this season.

Bruns is tied for first on the team with Alex Herrera with six goals scored. Bruns also leads the team in assists with six.

The Warriors defeated Norwalk 1-0 on April 26 and West Des Moines, Valley on April 25 in Waukee.

Against Valley, Herrera had two goals, while Luke Fegen also scored one goal. Bruns, Jon Brimeyer and Jackson, the goalkeeper all had one assist each in the match against Valley.

The Warriors will play next against Ankeny Centennial in Waukee on Friday. The match begins at 7:30 p.m. at Waukee Stadium.

Ankeny Centennial has a record of 7-1 on the season so far and has only allowed goals in one game, a 4-3 loss to Johnston on April 22.
